Detailed Steps
Step 1: The first thing you want to do is section the hair where you’ll want to apply these extensions. Be sure to create neat, straight parts here.
You can do several layers of these, just like you would apply other extensions, so start with where you want your lowest layer to be; you can work your way up!
Step 2: Insert the micro ring on the hook. It can slide down onto the hooked pulling needle and that’s okay.
Step 3: Grab a section of hair with the hook and use your opposite hand to pull the hair through the ring on the hook. Once you have the ring around the piece of hair you want to add the extension to, you’re ready to move on to the next step.
It can take a couple of tries to get the hang of it.
Step 4: Place the ring about a ½ inch from the scalp. It will grow out with your natural hair so you want it close enough to not need immediate upkeep, but not so close that you risk style and comfort.
Step 5: Insert the hair extension strand into the ring so it’s right in the mix with your natural hair.
Step 6: Hold the ring and hair in place and tightly close the ring with the pliers. Be sure to hold the hair in the direction you want it to go when you clamp it; downwards, so it falls naturally, instead of straight out.
Step 7: Repeat steps 1-6 until you have applied your desired amount of extensions.
